hGH & Anti-Aging

Anti-ageing is now one of the largest markets in existence, right along with weight loss and anti-smoking.  This page is a guide to help you learn and decide for yourself what the truth is.

Many fantastic, false and illogical claims have sprung up around many anti-ageing products; most seemingly made for the sole purpose of helping your wallet or purse lose weight!  I wrote this section to hopefully bring some sanity and honesty into the equation.

It's your body, explore the facts for yourself!

"How do I acquire the knowledge to make a realistic and educated decision regarding any sort of health product, including hGH?"

To answer this, you need to establish:

Below is a very short version of the answers available on a sister-site, "genf20.com.au".  The links in each section will open a new page within that site where you can read detailed discussions on each subject.

Do I need to raise my hGH levels?

If you are over thirty and answer "yes" to two or more of these questions, it is very likely your Growth Hormone (hGH) levels are deficient and letting you age.

  • Your body &/or mind are not as fresh or fast as you remember them being?
  • Your mind feeling a bit (or lot) more willing than your body?
  • Maybe your mind is not as willing as you want either?
  • You're finding fat sticking more than it used to - and harder to shift?
  • You're losing muscle mass despite hard work?
  • Finding your moods more changeable and more you're more irritable?
  • You just can't find the energy for the fun things anymore?
  • Is your sleep less reliable and less restful?
  • Tried a number of fad / radical diets but put all the weight back on?
  • Finding depression, lethargy &/or fatigue is hampering your quality of life?

What methods can I use to safely raise hGH levels?

There are four main ways hGH levels are supplemented or elevated in the human body.

  1. Stimulate the body to raise its own levels naturally - supporting natural function and maintaining hormonal balance.
  2. Inject hGH - suffer the likely hormonal imbalance and exorbitant costs, requires a doctor's prescription and constant monitoring.
  3. Homoeopathic hGH - risk the same imbalances as injected hGH but at far less cost - if it does anything at all for your body.
  4. Ingest oral hGH supplements - totally unrealistic.  hGH can not survive the saliva, much less the digestive system.  Real hGH is expensive and illegal without prescription.

What are the potential benefits and risks?

Raising hGH and hormonal levels IN BALANCE results in youthful actions and interactions within the body.  Studies have shown increased levels of hGH directly resulting in:

  • Decrease fat, while increasing lean muscle
  • Improve the look and feel of your skin
  • Increase bone density and potentially reverse osteoporosis
  • Power up your brain and maintain memory, even as you age
  • Boost your sex drive
  • Tonify and improve overall physical and mental well being
  • Sleep better
  • Improve your mood, and banish depression and fatigue

Human Growth Hormone is considered the, "Master Hormone" of the body and is involved directly or indirectly in pretty much every part of running your body.  A hormonal imbalance will result in negative reactions within a body.  Think about PMS to see what a very minor fluctuation in hormones does; or think about the so called, "roid rage" of steroid abusers.

What product will best suit my body in the long term?

Given the two sections above, you can see that the best choice by far is a product which supports, stimulates and protects the function of the body's own hGH production whilst maintaining full hormonal balance.  There are several products on the market which fulfil this set of requirements.

I personally believe that GenF20 is the most effective of these in terms of cost and efficacy.  The results experienced by my patients and myself back this conclusion totally.  Pretty much the only other product I have seen similar results with is GHR1000.

What will it cost me & how do I get it?

Both of these products become cheaper as you order more bottles. To make it easy, the three prices listed below are for one, three and twelve bottles respectively and include shipping to Australia (correct at time of publication, Jan 2008) and are in US Dollars.

What are the myths I need to look out for?

"Mythbusters" is one of my favourite shows, so I happen to love this subject.  You should be familiar with the benefits of returning hGH levels to those of your early 20's (above).  Let's now look at some of the complete,.. umm,.. "bovine excreta" (bovine=bull, excreta=poo).

OK, what getting your hGH levels returned to those of your early 20s can actually achieve,.. weight loss, muscle growth, performance potentials as you had them in your early 20s.  You still had to expend effort then too!  So let's look at my favourite myths,..

  • hGH will make you slim without any effort.  If this were true, there would be no overweight teenagers or early twenties!

  • hGH will make you totally muscular.  Muscles increase in size in response to work.  No supplement will increase muscle mass without some effort!

  • hGH will make you into a sex god.  Oh dear, oh dear!  If you're hGH deficient, raising levels to those of your early twenties can potentially return you to your 'desires' and 'ability' levels of that age as long as your fitness and lifestyle are similar too.  It is NOT a formula to re-invent yourself into some mythical fertility god!

  • hGH can turn back time.  WOW,.. just like in science fiction shows?  Increased and balanced hGH levels can increase skin thickness, appearance and condition, but as for giving you the skin of a teenage model if you're sixty, unless genetics has blessed you with it already, it won't happen.  You will look and feel younger, but it won't turn back time.

  • As you can see, reality is that hGH supplementation can help you, but nothing comes without effort.  Anything that says it can provide these wonderful gains without effort is a scam.

Where can I read more?

Our sister site, www.GenF20.com.au is a comprehensive and complete guide to hGH and the human body.  There are three levels of information on the site, basic, intermediate and advanced.  Both the intermediate and advanced sections have "lay" interpretations alongside the technical information so you can really get the best understanding possible without having to be an endocrinologist.

We will guide you through the science, methods, benefits, research and experiences of others to help you decide for yourself whether hGH supplementation is for you and what is the best way for you to achieve the results you want.  You can also order from here or on the GenF20.com.au site.

I complete in sports, is this legal for me to use?

Read more about ASADA's policies regarding HGH.  ASADA has no restriction on precursor amino acid supplements but professional athletes should always seek a written guarantee from the manufacturer of a product that all ingredients are listed so that they do not inadvertently take a prohibited substance.  Secretagogues are nutrient formulas which stimulate the body to increase production (to normal levels only) of target substances.  GenF20 and GHR1000 are secretagogues.

Supplementation of this nature increases the body's whole hormonal makeup rather than supplementing a particular hormone at the cost (imbalance) of all the others in the body.  << READ MORE >>

What are normal hGH levels?

In 21-year-olds, the normal levels of circulating HGH is approximately 10 milligrams per decilitre of blood; in 61-year-olds, the average is 2 ml/dl, which represents an 80 percent decrease.  In some cases, older people have circulatory HGH levels that are less than 10 percent of youthful levels.  By age 65, an estimated 50 percent of the population is partially or wholly HGH deficient.  By the time men and women are in their 70s, 38 percent of adults are as deficient in HGH as growth-stunted children.  << READ MORE >>
